About the Presenter

Alyssa Smyth, PhD

I’m Dr. Alyssa Smyth, a licensed psychologist and owner of Solas Psychology, PLLC. I specialize in adult ADHD, and my clinical work includes psychological assessment of adult ADHD and psychotherapy with adults experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, chronic stress, and executive functioning difficulties. I’m also an active ADHD researcher, with peer-reviewed work in journals including Clinical Psychology Review and the Journal of Attention Disorders. That work covers the psychometric properties of adult ADHD rating scales, psychosocial treatments for ADHD, and how ADHD affects adults’ careers.

My trainings translate psychological assessment principles into practical strategies that primary care clinicians can use to make thoughtful diagnostic and referral decisions.
