Solas Psychology

Psychology for Adults in Demanding Roles

Therapy for adults managing anxiety, depression, stress, attention difficulties, or major life transitions while balancing significant responsibilities in work or personal life

Many of the people I work with are accustomed to managing a great deal on their own. From the outside they may appear to be functioning well, yet internally they may be dealing with persistent stress, self-pressures, difficulty concentrating, or a growing sense that something is no longer working as it once did

At Solas Psychology, I provide evidence-based psychotherapy and diagnostic assessments for adults who carry substantial responsibility and want more than symptom management alone. My work is structured, collaborative, and goal-directed, with careful attention to how patterns of thinking, emotional responses, attention, and interpersonal dynamics interact under real-world pressure. The aim is not only relief, but greater perspective, steadiness, and effectiveness in the roles that matter most.

This practice is well-suited for adults who:

  • Carry ongoing responsibility in their work, family, or personal lives

  • Appreciate thoughtful, structured, evidence-based care

  • Want insight that translates into meaningful, sustainable change

  • Are navigating important decisions, transitions, or periods of increased strain

I tend to work best with people who want therapy to be active and purposeful. If you’re looking for an open-ended, purely supportive space without clear goals, this may not be the right fit. If you’re seeking steadier functioning, clearer boundaries, and a more sustainable way of carrying responsibility, we may work well together.

If your insurance plan is not accepted, sessions are provided on a private-pay basis. Payment of the full session fee is due at the time of service. Upon request, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
